Obituary of Mark Edward Stevens

Please share a memory of Mark to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Mark Edward Stevens passed away on January 24, 2024. Mark was predeceased by his parents Anna Lee Stevens and Ray Stevens and by his beloved big brother Brian Stevens. Mark was born prematurely on January 4th 1956, weighing just 2 and a half pounds. Mark faced many challenges in his life , both physically and intellectually. His late mother devoted her life to cariing for him. She was his greatest protector and care giver.

Anna Lee took Mark on many trips, across Canada by car and to Graceland to visit Elvis Presley's home to mention just two. Anna Lee made sure Mark had a life full of happy moments and loving memories. The last 8 years of Mark's life have been a difficult time as he endured the conditions of life in a long term care home. But, he always had a smile and a good time watching his collection of movies; especially the Elvis, James Bond and John Wayne collections. And, he sure loved a cup of coffee with his favourite PSW Sandia, as he called her. A special thank you to those staff who made Mark's life a little better.

Mark is survived by hi sloving nieces Amanda Lamb and Melissa Stevens. Their visits were the highlight of Mark's life. Mark is also survived by his sister in law, Teresa MacLean.

Rest In Peace Mark.
