Obituary of Johanna Christina de Jager

DE JAGER, Johanna “Christina” - born in 1943 in Holland. Passed away peacefully on October 16, 2020 at the age of 77. Left to mourn Johanna is her husband of 20 years Tom de Jager. She was the loving mother of John Legault (Kathy Deguire) and Tina Legault. Johanna was Nana to 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Greeting Johanna is her son Dan Legault (2019), and her parents Tina and Jan van Noord.  Johanna immigrated to Canada in 1953 with her parents and her sister. After relocating to Canada, Johanna was gifted another sister. She devoted her time, money and energy to making blankets for cancer patients at Juravinski Cancer Center. It was her way of giving back after having survived cancer following 2 surgeries performed by Doctors at Juravinski. She was an avid reader of celebrity biographies and Danielle Steele novels. If desired, memorial donations to the Juravinski Cancer Center would be sincerely appreciated. Arrangements have been entrusted to SIMPLER TIMES CREMATION CENTER 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines.
